Cheryl Cooke, a seasoned expert with over 30 years of experience in healthcare administration. Ms. Cooke has an extensive background in training dental personnel on Dentrix software and has spent more than 16 years teaching dental and medical administrative courses in Higher Education. With her vast knowledge and expertise, she ensures quality, comprehensive dental office training.

Her practice management experience spans various healthcare settings, including dental practices, physical therapy clinics, family medicine, and internal medicine practices. She holds an MBA in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management and is certified in Dentrix Software, one of the most widely used dental practice management systems. Additionally, Ms. Cooke holds multiple certifications from the National Health Career Association (NHA), including Billing and Coding Specialist, Electronic Health Records Specialist, and Medical Administrative Assistant.

Ms. Cooke’s expertise extends to leading teams in achieving operational excellence through organizational management, dental and medical billing, and coding, including Current Dental Terminology (CDT), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases (ICD), and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). She has successfully assisted organizations with practice management software conversions, re-organizational strategies, auditing, and human resources, including hiring, staff training, policy and procedure development, performance evaluations, staff meetings, and corrective action planning.

Ms. Cooke’s recent roles further showcase her ability to optimize healthcare technology and workflow processes throughout her participation in the DOD Healthcare Management System Modernization Project. As a Clinical Informaticist and EHR Adoption/Optimization/Compliance Consultant at Deep Mile Networks, she leverages her certifications in Dentrix, Patient Accounting, and Cerner Millennium Revenue Cycle to conduct workflow assessments, enhance EHR adoption, and support system upgrades for Military Health System (MHS) GENESIS. Her work includes facilitating evidence-based practices, analyzing data-driven performance improvements, and guiding healthcare teams through system integrations.

Previously, as a Solution Subject Matter Expert for the U.S. Coast Guard at Ellumen, Inc., Ms. Cooke provided MHS GENESIS expertise, engaged with DoD and VA stakeholders to validate system changes, and translated policies for Coast Guard operations.

Her tenure at ALKU/Holland Square Group as a Subject Matter Expert and Certified Training Specialist further solidifies her instructional leadership. Certified through the Federal Learning Academy, she delivered comprehensive training on Dentrix and Cerner applications, facilitated scenario-based training nationwide, and provided at-the-elbow support during system Go Lives. She was also instrumental in training new trainers and refining course content for continuous improvement.
